Update SharePoint list using Promises & Deferred method

As promise! Here is an article about using promises and deferreds method with SharePoint 2013 Javascript Object Model

One of the common problem with using the SharePoint client object model is the asynchronous nature of the object property calls.  When you call ExeutesQueryAsync in Javascript Object Model, It execute the model you declared and then continue immediately!

In practical world! we will be doing more than one thing in SharePoint client object model, For instance you might want to call another function which based on result of the asynchronous call.

How do we deal with this problem?

Using jQuery Promises and deferreds method we can make synchronous calls. This method allow much higher degree of control over callbacks.

With promises, we used deferred method to facilitate our promise.

Enough talking! let’s dive into the real world example.

I hope this article will help understand promises and deferred method.  If you guys have any question then drop me a line. Happy SharePointing!
